On the 24th of September 2014, Obama mentioned in his speech in the United Nations general assembly, that extremist ideology has shifted particularly in the Middle East and North Africa, where a quarter of young people have no job, where food and water could grow scarce, where corruption is rampant and sectarian conflicts have become increasingly hard to contain.
Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi has addressed the United Nations General Assembly’s 69th Session, by stressing that “Terrorism is a plague that does not differentiate in its spread between developing and developed societies.”
What happened recently of terror attacks in France, Australia, Belgium, US and Canada, is proving what Al-Sisi said. In addition, history says, terror attacks are the result of the West providing all means and facilities for terrorism growth on its territories and they imported terrorism by their own free will. The Iraq and Libya invasion also participated a great deal in turning these two countries to a fertile ground for terrorism growth.
Egypt, constantly warned the west from providing safe haven to extremists and terrorists, before the 9/11 and till this minute we speak, on the official and non official level.
Poverty and ignorance can be one of many reasons of a person turning to a terrorist, but we cannot generalize the issue and also we cannot say for definite that this is the main reason. Not every one suffering from poverty, ignorance or corruption, becomes terrorist!
Terrorists who committed recent terror attacks in the west, carried European nationalities, and were moving freely in Europe, despite that some of them were wanted and on terrorists lists! Also despite their living conditions whether they were employed or unemployed, they were enjoying the “democracy” and “freedom” of what they call “the “civilized democratic world”. They didn’t have any water or food scarcely growing, they didn’t have rampant corruption or sectarian conflicts hard to contain, like Obama mentioned. So what turned them to terrorists?
Osama Bin Laden was not ignorant or poor when he decided to join Al-Qaeda terrorist organization, was he? Ayman Alzawahry the current leader of Al-Qaeda, was not poor or ignorant either!
If there are extremists or terrorists from middle east origin, living in the west, who allowed them to be there? Isn’t a fact that some of these terrorists are wanted in their own countries for committing terror attacks, and they were granted foreign citizenship under the claim of their violated human rights and escaping from oppression and tyranny in their own countries?
People around the globe who protest now against Islam and Muslims, should instead protest against their own governments, who in fact gave safe haven to these extremists. They should protest against the United States and NATO invasion to Iraq and Libya, not just for spreading terrorism, but also for wasting tax payers money and lying to their own citizens about the real motive of invasion. They should protest against their own governments and ask them, where are they spending the tax money payers? If they are spending it on national security purpose, who is responsible for terrorists moving freely in Europe, while they were already on terrorists list?!
The 1.5 billion Muslims across the globe, are not terrorists. Terrorism is the same everywhere, despite their different names, flags or distorted ideologies, they are all the same and coming from the same womb! They are individuals or groups who are mentally sick and they are criminals by nature. They are pure evil, does their religion really matter? It doesn’t matter to them, because the issue for terrorism is not a religion matter, but to rule a country and to dominate the world by using “killing” as a tool for terrorizing and domination. I don’t see any difference between Mafias and terrorists, a serial killer and a terrorist, or superior countries invading other countries to control its resources. They are all criminals. The whole issue is about power, money and domination, it’s just the tools and tactics to achieve the goals are different.
If it was a matter of religion and dying for defending it like terrorists claimed and which have nothing to do with Islam, because Islam forbids committing suicide and harming yourself. Why Osama Bin Laden didn’t blow himself up in a suicidal attack? Many extremists and terrorists do this, doesn’t matter the reason they claim for doing this, but what matters here, if it was for the sake of religion like they claim, why Bin Laden didn’t do it? Leaders of terrorist groups never commit suicidal attack, but those who join them, they do it, because they are not less sick minded or brained washed than their leaders are.
Despite our different religions, beliefs and civilizations, at the end, we are facing a common enemy. Does it really matter what religion these terrorists belong to? When someone commits a crime or terror attack in any European country or in the States, do they mention that he is Christian, if that was his religion? Or they describe him as a criminal and terrorist! Of course the white guy who commits a crime or a terror attack, is always described as mentally disturbed and unstable!
For instance, Anders Behring Breivik is a good example for this. He is the perpetrator of the 2011 Norway attacks. On 22 July 2011, he killed eight people by setting off a van bomb amid government buildings in Oslo, then shot dead 69 participants of a Workers’ Youth League (AUF) summer camp on the island of Utøya. This is just one example of many others. Of course, if this guy was Muslim or an Arab, they were going to label him as a “terrorist” and not mentally disturbed, and the entire world would turned up side down!
This mixing up between religions and terror acts, is not going to help the world in its war on terrorism, on the opposite, it is contributing in spreading terrorism in the world. Because terrorism grow in countries, where there are sectarian and religious conflicts and in the end, countries will harvest civil wars and blood shedding.
Extremism and terrorism are the enemies of Islam and Muslims, like they are the enemies of the entire humanity. Muslims do not worship a devil, Muslims and Christians are worshiping the same God. So, for the sake of Humanity, we must get united and address our protests and wars against our common enemy and not against each other.
It will give a great support to terrorism, if Muslims and Christians declare wars against each other, and let me tell you that demonstrating against Islam, or against those who insult Islam, is the shortest and fastest way to civil wars. Because this is one of the terrorism targets, to spread hatred and incite Muslims against Christians and vice versa, and start civil wars. Is this what we really want to achieve in our war against terrorism?!
We all have the right to defend our beliefs and religions. But defending what you believe in, is not by demonstrating or spreading hatred and violence against others. Defending what you believe, can simply be achieved by you being a good image for your country and your religion and everything you represent. So, people around the world can understand that there is a difference between the religion and those who interpret it or claim that they represent it.
Syria, Libya, Iraq and Yemen are fighting terrorism since many years now. Did the world community or people around the globe cared for the Arabs civilians who got slaughtered and bombed daily by terrorism? The only support they got, was just this silly verbal condemnation of terror attacks. Superior countries only interfere just to protect their own interests and not to save innocents, and because terrorism was far from Europe as they thought wrongly, of course, no one cared for these Arab countries and innocents blood.
Terrorist groups are killing Muslims too, not just Christians in Syria, Libya and Iraq. If the world really is against all type of terrorism, why we haven’t seen just one poor single protest against killing Muslims in these countries?
Egypt is fighting terrorism too. Did Egypt get any support from the superior countries or the world community ? No we didn’t get any support. On the opposite, they supported terrorism against Egypt.
Hypocrisy and double standards even when it concerned victims of terrorism. You must be a Christian, atheist or Buddhist, so people around the globe drop tears on you and pay sincere condolences. But if you are a Muslim and you got slaughtered by terrorists, no one really care of the “civilized world” because you are not originally one of them, and you are always considered “the usual suspect”, just because there are terror attacks, committed by the evil bad guys, who claim that they belong to the same religion.
I’m a Muslim, and I’m not just against terrorism, but I come from a country that is fighting it daily since many years now. I’m against the killing of any human being doesn’t really matter his/her color, origin or religion. Who are you? Many people from Europe and other continents out there, were laughing and making fun of Islam and Mohammed the prophet of Muslims, whenever they read a disgusting insult or offense against Muslims and Prophet Mohammed. While, when they read and watch Muslims getting slaughtered or bombed in Arabs countries, they totally don’t care.
Do you want me to cry on your victims and put my hands in yours to fight our common enemy? How do you expect me Psychologically to do this, if you are not respecting my beliefs and you are making it a ridicule subject and direct insult?! We lack respect for each other beliefs, this is why we don’t care for each other’s life or death. I don’t judge you based on your beliefs or disbelief, why you are judging me for my beliefs?
If we really want to win this war against terrorism, we need to respect each other beliefs, even if we disagree on it. We need to condemn and fight terrorism, and not to fight each other. You need to stop your governments from contributing and participating in spreading terrorism in the Arab world. Because terrorism is not anymore close to your territories, but it lives and grow within your homeland, and you people allowed this to happen.
The world community is still claiming that Egypt is a freedom oppressor and do not respect human rights. I’m really laughing every time I hear this. What are your governments doing now in fighting terrorism? Check what kinds of laws and measures your governments are taking to provide security and safety for their own citizens against current or even possible terror attacks, and come and talk to me about your current and future Human rights!
The blood of any human being is precious, terrorism doesn’t check your identity before they slaughter you. They slaughter you, whether you are a Muslim or Christian or non believer, simply because you are not one of them, you don’t belong to their sick distorted ideology.
Terrorism grow with hatred, violence and incitement. What are you going to gain from facing violence with violence?
You will be the first one who will get harmed and you will contribute in spreading terrorism. Terrorism has nothing to do with Islam, on the opposite, terrorism is challenging our God in his qualities and abilities.
We need to stand on a common ground to fight terrorism, this won’t happen with Christians demonstrating against Islam, or Muslims demonstrating against Christians. We are going to win this war, if we put our beliefs and religions aside. Who am I to judge your beliefs, and who are you to judge mine? We are different, and being different, doesn’t mean that you are right and I’m wrong.
We need to be neutral in relation to each other’s religion and beliefs and not to contempt or attack each other. Disagree with me, but don’t contempt me for what I believe. Wake up people around the globe and stand together with your different colors and beliefs against the real enemy of humanity. They are simply called terrorists, and terrorism has no religion, no homeland, no identity and doesn’t differentiate between a developed or developing countries like the Egyptian president said.
Let’s start by paying sincere condolences to all the innocents who paid their own lives as a precious price for being what they simply were. Let’s respect each other’s beliefs and stand one hand against our common enemy.
Let’s not follow those who are blindly maniac about religions, and are taking advantage of the situation, in inciting against Christianity or Islam. There are many out there, and they are not less dangerous than terrorists are. If you want to learn about different religions, I’m simply asking you not to follow the wrong interpreters, and please don’t consider a bad image Muslim or a bad image Christian is the official representative or the official spokesman of the religion.
It is really absurd, that you hear people attacking Islam or Christianity, and at the same time, they are claiming that they are calling for peace, love and tolerance, while they are spreading lies, hatred and violence between Muslims and Christians…Please be aware of those.
Let’s not let anger and violence control our hearts and minds, because if we do, we are all losers in this war against terrorism, and terrorism will definitely win, if this happens.
We can judge and criticize each other of what we say and do, and not based on what we believe or disbelieve.
Let’s not insult or ridicule each other’s religion, because there is a big difference between freedom of speech and abuse and contempt of religions. If you want Muslims around the globe to stand against terrorism and be your strong ally in fighting the common enemy, believe me, the contempt of Islam, is not going to make them Allies or friends.
I don’t see any freedom of creativity or freedom of speech or even something to laugh about in contempt or insulting each other’s religions or beliefs. Believe me, terrorism takes advantage of any issue like this one, to ignite conflicts between Christians and Muslims around the globe.
Terrorism in Islam is above all murder and Murder is strictly forbidden in Islam. The Qur’an says, “and do not kill a soul that God has made sacrosanct, save lawfully.” (i.e. murder is forbidden but the death penalty or any other penalty is imposed by the state for a crime is permitted). Who kills a soul, unless it be for murder or for wreaking corruption in the land, it shall be as if he had killed all mankind; and he who saves a life, it shall be as if he had given life to all mankind.”
If the motive for terrorism is religious, it is impermissible in Islamic law. It is forbidden to attempt to impose Islam on other people. The Qur’an says, “There is no compulsion in religion. The right way has become distinct from error.” Islam’s holy book forbids coercing people into adopting any religion. They have to willingly choose it.
There is nothing wrong about Islam. But everything is wrong about the interpreters. This is why I said and I repeat, be aware of the wrong interpreters.[symple_testimonial by=”Noam Chomsky” fade_in=”true”]Everybody’s worried about stopping terrorism. Well, there’s a really easy way: stop participating in it. [/symple_testimonial]
Music, beautiful sounds, meanings of the magnificent art and aimed words films that are sending purposeful messages are bringing us together and we agree on them, even that we speak different languages, we all agree on something or someone is beautiful, when they are. How come we disagree, fight, underestimate, ignore and despise the blood of innocent people that is wasted by the hands of our common enemy”Terrorism”, just because we are different and we contempt each other’s beliefs…
